Oily liquid, with an aroma similar to popcorn, fried corn tortillas, pome fruit and bread. Melting point 65℃, boiling point 95～105℃(2000Pa), flash point 78℃. Refractive index (nD20) 1.5480. Relative density (d420) 1.226. It exists naturally in cooked beef, cooked pork liver, asparagus, potatoes and rice, and has an aroma similar to nuts, rice and popcorn.

Uses:

Used in the preparation of triazolothiazole analogs, chiral alcohols, and also in aldol condensation reactions. Used as food flavoring
