Introduction:

It is white crystal at room temperature with a molecular weight of 269.52. Melting point 52.8612. Boiling point 23212 (4.27 kPa). Flash point is 149℃. Relative density 0.8618. Refractive index 1.4522. It is alkaline. Soluble in ethanol and benzene, insoluble in water.

Uses:

Octadecamine is used as an intermediate for organic synthesis and is used to produce octadecane quaternary amine salts and a variety of additives, such as thickening agents for cationic greases, mineral dressing agents, pesticides and asphalt emulsifiers, fabric antistatic agents, softeners, wetting and waterproofing agents, surfactants, fungicides, coloring agents for color films, corrosion-inhibiting chemicalbook agents for oil refining devices. Combined with octadecyldiethanolamine with ethylene oxide in a molar ratio of 1:2, reacted at 150-190°C, and octadecyldiethanolamine can be obtained in a yield of nearly 80%. Octadecyldiethanolamine is a nonionic antistatic agent and can be used in polypropylene, polystyrene, and ABS resins.
